About the Role:

The chance to combine your horse passion, with a lifestyle career you will love.  Cavalor Equicare is looking for an energetic, passionate and results oriented Brand Manager to manage, develop and drive Cavalor. Your primary focus will be delivering and executing the short and long-term business strategy to deliver the desired commercial results.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated interpersonal skills, to be able to effectively build strong relationships, work with external agencies to develop and manage campaigns and be able to collaborate with cross functional departments to ensure all activities are executed in line with strategy so that commercial results are achieved. Further you will be responsible for analysing market trends, generating accurate forecasts, life cycle management and new product launches.

Responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for executing the Cavalor business strategy;
  • Product management, training, pricing, distribution and stock management;
  • Manage relationships with distribution network including direct to trade, distributor and b2b clients;
  • Manage Cavalor sales team located in Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland and Tasmania;
  • Support the sales team in coordination of trade-based communications, agreements, price lists, customer databases, retail POS, sales and marketing material, trade stands
  • Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders including management, sales, finance, graphic designer, warehouse, distribution, trade, agency and suppliers;
  • Development and execution of marketing and sales strategy including:
    • Equine event sponsorship and trade stands
    • Digital marketing campaigns
    • Social media calendar and content creation to promote Cavalor product, ambassadors and events
    • EDM creation and distribution 
    • Cavalor Rewards loyalty program and partnerships
    • Cavalor Equicare Rider Academy program
  • Reporting on performance and effectiveness of marketing and sales strategy
    • Digital reporting and analysis including website, paid digital advertising and organic social media performance
    • Keeping up to date with industry trends, competitor marketing campaigns, analysis and benchmarking
    • Management and analysis of monthly sales reporting through direct to customer, trade (direct), trade (distributer) and online store;

There will be a requirement to attend equine events throughout the year, which will entail weekend work in promoting and selling the brand. Regional and interstate travel will be required.

About You:

Your experience will include:

  • Equine industry experience and knowledge
  • 3+ years marketing experience
  • Proven success in developing and implementing marketing strategies that delivers both short- term and long-term growth objectives
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills with ability to work cross functionally
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong business acumen
  • High level of presentation skills
  • Veterinary or animal health/nutrition background highly regarded
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications highly regarded
